This is the Onagawa Winter Festival Fireworks Display held on December 14, 2019 near Onagawa Station Square and the Onagawa Station Commercial Area in Onagawa-cho, Oshika-gun, Miyagi Prefecture Tohoku Japan. In Onagawa-cho, a large number of people were forced to move after the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. To commemorate the opening of Onagawa Station and the on-site tenant-type shopping district Seapalpia Onagawa in 2015 as a base for Tohoku revival, the Onagawa Winter Festival has started to be held around Christmas every year. It is currently held for three days as a commemorative anniversary of the commercial area. In addition to music performances and illuminations, winter fireworks are launched on the last night, with about 3,000 fireworks illuminating the clear winter night sky.
