Blue Impulse Aerobatic Flight in Matsushima Air Base Reconstruction Appreciation Event
This is an exhibition flight of Blue Impulse, which made a splendid acrobatic flight at the Matsushima Air Base Reconstruction Appreciation Event held at the Air Self-Defense Force Matsushima Air Base in Higashi Matsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture Japan on August 28, 2016.
The Matsushima Air Base Reconstruction Appreciation Event was held on August 28, 2016 as an alternative event to the Matsushima Air Base Festival, which had been suspended due to the tsunami caused by the 3.11 Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011.
During this event, after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the aerobatics team’s Blue Impulse exhibition flight was held at Matsushima Air Base for the first time in 6 years and using a T-4 trainer.
