4K HDR | Oishida Festival Mogamigawa Fireworks Festival 2023
This is a video of the Oishida Festival Mogami River Fireworks Display held on August 16, 2023 at the Mogami River riverbed in Oishida Town, Kitamurayama District, Yamagata Prefecture Japan.
Due to the spread of coronavirus infection, for a long time only the secret fireworks display was held only for townspeople, but this year, the Oishida Festival Mogami River Fireworks Display will be held as usual.
The Oishida Festival began to celebrate the completion of the Ohashi Bridge over the Mogami River that flows through Oishida Town, and its history spans about 90 years.
The festival is held on August 16th every year, and on the day of the festival, the “Adult Mikoshi” carried by young people who reached adulthood that year and the mikoshi groups carried out are paraded through the stalls lined up in the town.
