An uncut video of the daytime fireworks contest of the Omagari All Japan National Fireworks Competition held in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture Japan on August 26, 2023.
The daytime fireworks division, which is the only competitive event in Japan, uses two types of fireworks, enryu” and “warimono, which use highly visible colored smoke.
They set off these fireworks and compete for beauty and consistency with the theme based on their shape and color combination.
Additionally, the Omagari fireworks are considered one of Japan’s three major fireworks festivals, along with the Tsuchiura fireworks and the Nagaoka Festival.

This is a video of the night fireworks section of the Omagari All Japan National Fireworks Competition held at Omagari Fireworks Park in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture Japan on August 26, 2023.
Among the chrysanthemum-shaped fireworks that draw concentric circles, a warimono fireworks with three or more pistils, which are said to be difficult to make, are launched.
In addition, a total of two 12 inch shells fireworks will be launched, which will be judged by the pyrotechnician’s intentions, creativity, and technical coherence.
Then, a theme is set for fireworks, and competitions are held in three categories of creative fireworks that pursue the creativity and uniqueness of pyrotechnicians, such as color, rhythm, three-dimensional effect, and composition.
