Matsushima Bay, where the beautiful sea and 260 islands of various sizes line up, is also called Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan(Nihon Sankei).
This is Matsushima Town, Miyagi Prefecture, which is a 40-minute train ride from JR Sendai Station and is known as a tourist attraction that continues to attract visitors from all over the country.
In the town, there is a scenic spot called Saigyo Modoshi no Matsu Park where you can get a panoramic view of Matsushima Bay from the hill.
It is also famous as a cherry blossom spot where you can see the scenery of Matsushima Bay and about 260 Somei Yoshino that bloom in the park.
Saigyo modoshi no Matsu Park has its origin in saying that Saigyohoushi gave up on Matsushima after having a Zen Buddhism with a child he had met under a pine tree.
The history that Basho Matsuo and Einstein visited here is also left behind.
There are various cherry blossom viewing spots across the country, regardless of size, but I think this is the only place where you can see this beautiful landscape.
