Heavy rain and flood damage caused by Typhoon No. 15 in 2011 Miyagi Japan
This is the view of Izumi Ward, Sendai City, Ogimachi, Miyagino Ward, and Natori City, which were affected by heavy rain and floods due to Typhoon No. 15 which approached Miyagi Prefecture Japan on September 21, 2011.In particular, the Nanakita River basin flowing through Izumi Ward was inundated, causing serious damage such as submerged parking vehicles.
Typhoon No. 15 landed in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture at 945 hpa, then crossed Honshu, passed from Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture to the Pacific Ocean, and turned into a temperate cyclone near Kuril Islands.
The typhoon not only damaged houses and vehicles, but also caused two deaths and one injured in Miyagi Prefecture.
