World’s Largest 48 inch firework shell
This is a video recording the fireworks launch on the 9th of the Katakai Matsuiri Asahara Shrine Autumn Festival Dedication Large Fireworks held in Katakaimachi, Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture Japan on September 9th and 10th, 2012.
The Katakai Festival is a popular name for the annual autumn festival of Asahara Shrine in the town, and it is held as an annual event to dedicate fireworks with the prayers and wishes of the townspeople to Asahara Shrine.
This festival is also known for launching the first fireworks ball with a diameter of 90 cm in the sky in Japan, and then launching a regular three-dimensional ball that explodes to a size of 600 m in diameter.
This festival is also famous for launching the first Syusanjakudama(36 inch shell) in Japan. A fireworks shell with a diameter of 90 cm is launched into the sky, and it explodes to a size of 600 m in diameter.
Japan’s only syoyonsyakudama(48 inch shell) was registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s largest Aerial firework shell that explodes to a diameter of 800 meters after firing a firework shell with a diameter of about 120 cm.
