The scenery of the Tagajō Castle ruins Iris Flower Festival held at the Tagajo Ruins Ayame Garden in Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture Japan, and the light-up event of Light Installation 2022 where Iris Flower is illuminated by fantastic light. The Tagajo Ruins Iris Flowers Festival was held for the first time in three years due to the spread of coronavirus infection that has continued since 2020. On the site of about 21,000 square meters, which is the largest in the Tohoku region, you can admire the spectacular scenery where 3 million irises and other flowers of 800 types, which exceed the scale of Japan’s four major iris blossoms gardens, are in full bloom. In addition, a light-up event “Light Installation 2022” was held for three days from June 22nd to 24th, 2022, to illuminate the irises blooming in the park with soft light. The venue was crowded with many people even in the occasional rainy weather.
