Exhibition flight by Blue Impulse which is an aerobatic demonstration team belonging to Matsushima Air Base of the Japan Air Self Defense Force at Higashimatsushima Summer Festival held in Japan on August 23, 2014.
Matsushima Air Base which became completely unusable by flooding with the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, resumed operation in April 2012.In March 2013, Blue Impulse, which had been carrying out flight training at Ashiya Air Base since the earthquake, has returned to Matsushima Air Base.
It was the second time that started exhibition flight at the Higashimatsujima summer festival, which replaces the Matsushima Air Base Festival, which has been discontinued since 2011.
