Beautiful hydrangea flowers in Oga Unsyoji Temple
I was able to view and record the hydrangea at Unshoji Temple in Kitaura, Oga City, Akita Prefecture Japan, which was selected as one of the best views of Japan in 2017 and became famous nationwide as a hydrangea temple on the Oga Peninsula.
The Hydrangea of Unshoji Temple has increased from one hydrangea that the deputy chief priest Shuun Konaka was fascinated to 2000 over a long period of more than 15 years.
Here, it is characteristic that the blue hydrangea flowers bloom densely with a unique cultivation method.
In addition, special illumination viewing is also held at night, and the deputy chief priest’s commitment can be seen in the unique blue lighting that makes only the blue hydrangea stand out in the dark night.
