This event, in which lions from each village board fishing boats and parade on the sea, is one of the most popular events along with the fireworks display held at night, and you can enjoy watching the lion dances performed to the heroic music played on the boats. The Onagawa Minato Festival was an annual event held every July, but since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, which caused great damage to Onagawa Town, the festival has been canceled.
