Video of the Ishinomaki fireworks festival 2018 held at Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, Tohoku Japan on August 1, 2016. This is a festival started as a festival of gratitude for Shigeyoshi Kawamura who restored the Kitakami River, opened the port of Ishinomaki, and saved the city. The first event was held in 1916, and in addition to the festival, there were also fireworks displays and Flow lanterns. Since 1962, the date has been changed on August 1 and 2 and it has been done until now. However, due to the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, the location of the fireworks display has been changed to the current location and held in a reduced size.
