Beautiful Autum Leaves at Akiu Waterfall
Beautiful autumn leaves at Akiu Otaki Falls in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture Japan, which is one of Japan’s three most famous waterfalls.
It is a waterfall located in the upper part of the Natori River, a first-class river flowing in the Zao National Park and the prefectural natural park of futakuchi Gorge.
Because it is close to Akiu Hot Spring, there are many tourists visiting from outside the prefecture and overseas, especially in the season of autumn leaves and fresh greenery, and it is widely known as a representative tourist attraction of Sendai City.
There is an observatory where you can go down the stairs behind Akiu Otaki Fudoson on the right bank of the Natori River and see the waterfall.
There is also a 1km Akiu Otaki promenade where you can view the waterfall from near the waterhole.
