Cherry Blossoms bloom Yamagata Castle Ruins Kajo Park
Kajo Park in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture Japan, is a famous castle for beautiful cherry blossoms in Japan. It is a castle park that opened to the public the Yamagata Castle Ruins, a flat castle built by Yoshimitsu Mogami, the uncle of Sengoku warlord Masamune Date.
Kajoo Park is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot in the Tohoku region, and the number of cherry blossoms blooming here is about 1,500, of which 1200 are Somei Yoshino.
Along the Kajo Park, there is a track that the Yamagata Shinkansen that runs from Yamagata Station passes.
For this reason, during the cherry blossom viewing season, it is popular not only for cherry-blossom viewing visitors but also as a railway photography spot visited by railway fans.
