Cats sleep an average of 14 hours a day, spending most of the day asleep.However, we only get a deep sleep for about 6 to 7 minutes, which means we only get a total of about 3 hours a day of sleeping and waking up.
Other than that, he wakes up immediately in response to any noise, and if he hears an unfamiliar sound outside he just stays asleep while looking out the window.
