The Nagaoka Festival, which is one of the three major fireworks festivals in Japan along with the Omagari and Tsuchiura All Japan national fireworks competition, is a festival that began in hopes of recovery from the Nagaoka air raid.
This festival is one of Japan’s leading fireworks festivals, where 20,000 fireworks are launched in two days.
Large-scale programs such as Miracle Star Mine and Kome Hyappyo Fireworks will be held.
Programs to music such as fireworks to pray for reconstruction from the Chuetsu earthquake and fireworks to commemorate the broadcast of the NHK Taiga drama are now being held.
